My name is Dr. Justine Chatterton. I am a licensed psychologist specializing in holistic trauma healing and deeper understanding of self. If you decide to work with me you will find that I care deeply about the experience you have in the therapy room and that I am ceaselessly curious about what is going on inside of you. I use polyvagal theory, attachment science, and the therapeutic relationship to support you as become a fuller version of yourself.

Areas of Expertise.

  • Relational Trauma Treatment

    Relational Trauma Treatment

I am trained in attachment theory and treatment for repair. I have worked with many survivors of all kinds of abuse and neglect and have the tools to support your healing and recovery. When we are relationally harmed we carry the weight of that pain in our bodies. I use somatic and relational tools to help people restore a sense of safety so that connection to others and trust in oneself becomes possible again. Together we will explore your individualized route towards healing and wholeness.

  • Perinatal and Postpartum Concerns

This phase of life is so vulnerable. Whether you are trying to become pregnant, have suffered a loss, are working towards adoption, or are managing the stress of parenting, I am trained to support you. The shift in identity, the impact of our own experience of being parented, and modern stressors can make this an especially difficult time. I have helped many families find more stability and peace as they navigate these challenges.

  • Psychedelic Psychotherapy

New evidence suggests that psychedelic medicines are one of our most powerful tools for healing. Right now in Minnesota we legally have access to the use Ketamine for psychedelic assisted therapy. We are hopeful that medicines like psylocibin (mushrooms) and MDMD (e.g. ecstasy) will be approved by the FDA and made legally available soon. I am trained to support and guide you should you be interested in accessing these tools as part of your mental health treatment.

  • Collaborative/Therapeutic Assessment

Sometimes in therapy we get stuck and need the help of assessment tools to better understand what holds us back. If you and your therapist need the help of evidence-based psychological assessment I consult with you to get the answers you are looking for. Therapeutic assessment works as a stand alone treatment or as an adjunct to your ongoing therapy.
